How You Can Help

Animal shelters in desperate need of funds, volunteers, and adoptions are bursting at the seams with pets in need of a safe home, whether it be a foster home or permanent home. In addition, most shelters have a foster program that allows teens and adults to watch over these pets for community service hours. Look up your local shelter to see what volunteer opportunities they offer (click here). Your donations, can help these shelters create more space and improve the care that the animals receive. Lastly, please encourage others to adopt!

  • Step 1: If you have time, volunteer at your local shelter or foster.
  • Step 2: Consider adopting from an animal shelter.
  • Step 3: Donate to your local shelter.
  • Step 4: Make sure your pets are spayed/neutered to prevent an increase in the stray population.

Why?

Your help is essential because animal lives count on you. The more help that shelters receive, the better the quality of help the strays receive. The longer they remain in shelters, the more damage they face.
